Take a screenshot
- Open the screen that you want to capture.
- Depending on your phone:
- Press the Power and Volume down buttons at the same time.
- If that doesn’t work, press and hold the Power button for a few seconds. Then tap Screenshot.
- If neither of these works, go to your phone manufacturer’s support site for help.
- At the bottom left, you’ll find a preview of your screenshot. On some phones, at the top of the screen, you'll find Screenshot capture.
Record your screen
- Swipe down twice from the top of your screen.
- Tap Screen record.
- You might need to swipe right to find it.
- If it's not there, tap Edit and drag Screen record to your Quick Settings.
- Choose what you want to record and tap Start. The recording begins after the countdown.
- You can choose whether to record audio and show touches on the screen before you start.
- To stop recording, swipe down from the top of the screen and tap the Screen recorder notification.

iOS
Take a screenshot
- Press the power button and the volume up button at the same time. If your device does not have Face ID, press the power button and the home button at the same time instead.
- Quickly release both buttons.
- After you have taken a screenshot, edit, share, or save it. In iOS 18 or earlier, a thumbnail will appear temporarily in the bottom left-hand corner of your screen. Tap the thumbnail to open it or swipe left to dismiss it.
Record your screen
- Swipe down from the top-right corner of your screen.
- Tap the gray Record button, then wait for the three-second countdown. If you don't see the Record button, add it to your Control Center.
- Exit Control Center to record your screen.
- To stop recording, tap the Screen Recording button at the top of your screen, then tap the Stop button. Or open Control Center and tap the red Record button.
